"The Wizard & The Typhoon" - Felling Band 4th August

Two young men, born just 15 months and two streets apart in the small railway town of Shildon in the 1860's, ultimately became leading composers in the emerging brass band movement at opposite ends of the world. Today, George Allan's Marches remain favourites worldwide, and Thomas Bulch's music is played by bands in Australia, where he emigrated to and settled. Recent research has uncovered their link, and music from Australia is en-route for you to hear in this incredible concert at Ushaw. .  What a story we have to tell. We are delighted that the wonderful “Felling Band” will be taking to the stage at Ushaw to help us tell this fascinating story and allow you to enjoy a unique programme of music from our two County Durham composers.  www.wizardandtyphoon.org
